The Girl in the Cupboard
The Girl in The Cupboard is a touching story. This, the first of Ms. Gajadhar's published works, is an autobiographical portrayal of her life fron childhood to adulthood. Her expreience runs the gamut of abuse with its attendant ills: insecurity, loniness, self- doubt, self- hate, confusion and impaired choices. Nevertheless, punctuated throughout is the definite hand of an all- seeing God Who, at the end of the day, leads Annie in triumphant procession.
The world of The Girl in The Cupboard begins in sadness but ends with a song of faith. It is the heart- warming testimony of a child who, in time, bravely jumps out of the limiting confines of cupboards into the malestormof the present world with a clear and confident message of hope and deliverance that is sure to touch the hearts of many.
