Caribbean-Flavoured Presbyterianism

This book documents the pioneering efforts of the Canadian Mission in Trinidad and Tobago from the late 19th Century to the present. It highlights the evolution of the Mission from humble beginnings, meager resources, and numerous challenges in a diverse, colonial society. The trials, struggles and sacrificies of the Canadian misssions and its ensuing impact made it one of the most successful religious missions in the history of the Caribbean.

As the historical evidence shows, the Presbyterian Church is not only known for its proselytization efforts and missionary work, but also its social services, including the increase in literacy, and the increase in upward social mobility amony\g Indians. AS time progressed, the entire society was able to benefit from its efforts.
